What is durian mochi?

Durian mochi is a twist on the traditional Japanese mochi dessert, and is made by filling it with Singaporeans’ favourite durian fruit. Golden Moments offers two types of durian mochi to choose from: the original Golden QQ durian mochi, and the Crystal QQ durian mochi. The Golden QQ is made with traditional mochi ingredients like glutinous flour and cornstarch, whereas the Crystal QQ is made with a specialised starch to create a crystal skin.

What does durian mochi taste like?

Durian mochi combines the rich and creamy flavours of durian with the chewy texture of Japanese mochi. Here at Golden Moments, both the Golden QQ and Crystal QQ durian mochi are made with 100% pure Mao Shan Wang durian. This infuses the mochi with the distinct bittersweet flavour of MSW durian, making it a must-try for any durian or MSW fan.

How do you store durian mochi?

Our QQ series durian mochi should be kept frozen as soon as possible after purchase. Once you remove it from the freezer, let it thaw for 60 minutes before consumption to give you the richest flavour possible in every bite. The shelf life of our Crystal QQ durian mochi is one week, and the shelf life of the Golden QQ is two weeks. However, it’s recommended to eat the mochi as soon as possible after thawing.
